A crow seesaws
On the telephone wire,
Dignity compromised,
Ducking and Rearing,
Until he is replaced
By a smug
Blue tit.
I walk in dusk
Like a shawl;
Like a cowl.
And the sexy cello I promised you is just at the other end of this link to Terri Windling's inspiring blog.
I really like this. I can almost see the blue tit smiling and the crow thinking "damn you!"
ReplyDeleteI like this one Lunar. Reminds me of the little ego battles the birds in my garden have every morning when I'm tossing breadcrumbs for them :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic - it's not just me that reads all this into bird behaviour. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteThanks Claire. Good to see you here. I'm following you too. For some reason the idea of a seamless bag really appeals... :o).
