Five Small Stones

Decided to keep these separate this time.
Do click the River of Stones widget on the right to join in - it's never too late.
And please let me know your favourite :o).

My daughter
In my mother's arms
Is captured on a mug.
The mug,
In my mother's hand,
Captures a tear.

I have an entire
Chocolate biscuit
In my mouth.
It makes me grin.

January dusk
Enfolds the hills
Like sleep.

One crocus
And a thousand promises
Of snowdrops.
It is coming.

I am grateful for today.
It has brought me
To you.
Yes, you.

  1. Oh, my. I enjoy your poetry so much. Especially the crocus and the certainty of spring. Blessings to you, dear Lunar.

  3. Looking back on it, I think yesterday was a rough one. I've been having a hard time bearing witness to other people's happiness with their partners when my marriage is in such a state.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm very grateful for your presence in my life.

  4. I'm grateful for you, too. Do remember that the spring we can rely on is not confined to the season. Everything has its fallow, stark time which must be weathered and everything blooms again - only sometimes its form has changed in the process. Keep loving, wherever you can.

  5. Wonderful blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers?

I'm planning to start my own website soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like
Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there
that I'm completely confused .. Any recommendations? Many thanks!
